Art
Students will learn about the foundations and elements of art, such as color and shape, through learning about art history and the styles of various visual artists. Students will focus on process art, while completing one big project a month. Students learn creativity and expression through multimedia art such as sculpture and photography. Students will learn about artist such as Kandinsky, Monet, Warhol and more. Students will showcase their best work at our Annual Chanen Art Gala.
Music
Students will learn about the foundations and elements of music, such as rhythm and melody, through singing, dancing, and movement. Students will learn a variety of Hebrew and Jewish folk and religious songs, as well as nursery rhymes and songs that combine singing and movement.
Physical Education
Phoenix Children’s Athletes offers a Physical Education (PE) program covering 11 different sports and activities. We will engage our students in popular sports, stretching, exercise, games, and nutritional education in a typical class. The focus is on the development of gross motor capacity and mobility performance.
Hebrew
Hebrew introduces more than 50 words and phrases in the following categories: familiar words, sentences, manners, phrases, numbers, colors, body parts and so much more. In this fully fun and immersive class the kids will learn through games, songs, and lots of fun.
Garden
Planting, gathering, developing skills on how to care and nurture plants. Learning about different vegetables and herbs and the various ways you can incorporate them into their lives. The curriculum includes various projects from seed bomb creating, pressing flowers, and taking care of plants in their various stages of life. Gardening has many benefits, some of which include self-esteem, fine motor skills, love, responsibility, communication, and pure happiness
